Washington, D.C. –The Washington Mystics will tip off their 20 th anniversary season on May 14, 2017, against the San Antonio Stars at 3:00 p.m.  Following the home opener, Washington will have a three-game road trip where they will face the 2016 WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks (May 19), the Seattle Storm (May 21) and the Chicago Sky (May 24).   From May 26 to June 4, the team will have a three-game homestand against the Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun and Atlanta Dream.

“We are excited to get our 20 th anniversary season underway and our fans will be able to celebrate all season long by watching a hard-working, talented team,” said head coach and general manager Mike Thibault. “The WNBA continues to be the best professional women’s league in the world and we are thrilled at the level of talent that will be coming to Verizon Center this season.”

The first will be held on May 31 at 11:30 a.m. against the Sky, followed by a noon matchup against the Seattle Storm on June 27.
