Monumental Sports Network to Air All Mystics Home Games

Opening Night Set For May 14

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Mystics announced that Monumental Sports Network will broadcast all of the team’s home games for the 2016 season. Washington will tip off the season at home against their conference rival the New York Liberty on Saturday, May 14, at 7 p.m. The games will also be streamed live on and on the app, available through Apple’s App Store, Android devices, Amazon Fire, Google’s Chromecast and Roku.

For the seventh consecutive year, the broadcast team of Frank Hanrahan and Christy Winters Scott will call the games. In addition to streaming the games, Monumental Sports Network will produce special behind-the-scenes access as well as exclusive programming such as Mystics Magazine that will give fans an inside look at their favorite Mystics players.

Monumental SportsNet is the region’s top destination for sports and entertainment news, providing fans with exclusive, original content and video programming. Owned by Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), Monumental SportsNet serves as a digital content platform for fans and customers in the D.C. region and around the world. Following the preseason games against the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx, Washington waived Jada Payne, Lia Galdeira, Danaejah Grant and Chelsea Lee. The Mystics roster can be seen here.

Including opening night, the team will have a three-game home stand to start the season with games against the league’s newest team, the Dallas Wings, on May 18 and the Los Angeles Sparks on May 20.
